It says in this order: 1.) warm up the engine to normal operating temperature. 2.) stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug caps, remove one spark plug at a time. 3.) to measure the cylinder compression of each cylinder, remove only one plug at a time. 4.) shift the transmission into neutral and turn the engine stop switch off. 5.) 6.) Ninja 250/300, for larger riders the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 is more comfortable but the weight takes getting used to, I know at least 3 people who had one as their first bike. The Honda Grom is a fun and easy bike to learn on if you don't plan on a lot of highway travel. 3.
After a couple of years of not riding I got back into riding, got a good deal on an 09 Honda Aero 750, had the bike for a year before outgrowing it, didn't mind the power, but I just felt cramped on longer rides, I'm 6'2, so trade it for an 06 Sabre 1100, I just liked the way that bike felt from day one, and the difference in power between it and the a 750, the bike had 13000 miles on it when
750 vs 883. Both bikes have advantages and disadvantages. The Honda is less expensive to begin with and has plenty of aftermarket goodies available. The Harley can be upgraded to a 1200cc bike pretty easily and has plenty of aftermarket parts available.
The 2001 Shadow 750 is only about 10 lbs heavier. As low as that weight is carried he "should" be able to catch it if he taps the front brake at full lock in a parking lot. On the other hand, if you're gonna do the newbie drop on a bike a dirt cheap 2001 Shadow is a pretty good candidate.
That's a good starter bike, if you end up doing lots of 2-up riding you'll want something bigger with more torque. I went from a Honda Shadow 750 to a Vulcan 1500 classic Fi. Reply reply
when it comes to Cruisers you can go bigger, a 750 Shadow (Honda) a Suzuki C50 (805cc) basically any of the mid sized cruisers will be fine for starting out with, the one thing you have to watch for on these bikes though is the weight, most are around #400 lbs. (they only feel like that at low speeds though) as long as you can handle the weight
The Vulcan 900s have almost 50 hp and 58 lb/ft of torque. My Ninja 500 has 55 hp and 30 lb/ft of torque. Those cruisers are pretty weak and mild, you will only have problems maneuvering them at parking lot speeds (like almost all motorcycles anyway!). 1.
